Yoga is know for increasing flexibilty but the ways and means of streatching also massage your organs and stimulate the energy pathways in the body.  The muscles that support your frame are strenthened, your spine is more flexible, in short yoga prevents your body’s degeneration and it helps restore it. Exercise is important to keep your body working properly, it is part of the upkeep.  You take your car for maintenance and your body requires it to.  Yoga is one of the best ways to accomplish this.  Regular practice can dramatically improve your condition and actually reduce your effective age.  Yoga will increase your flexibility, firm your skin, eliminate tension, flatten your stomach, and remove your double chin.

Whatever your age, there are great yoga postures that you can perform that will improve your health.   It is always recomended to consult with a physician but then enjoy this physical restorative process.  Yoga is a holistic experience that restores both the mind and body.   You will find that some poses are too difficult for you and that is why there are warm ups and a gradual build up to the more difficult postures but you will find that you are there one day.

You should look into asanas.  This involves breathing and meditation and has been shown to remove digestive problems, varicose  veigns, chronic weakness, and other conditions of age.
