Awesome video! I …
Awesome video! I find it very interesting that many other countries do not allow food to be manufactured with this sugar substitute while the U.S. does.

The people who are …
The people who are addicted to these junk foods are not much better than heroin addicts.

A very good point …
A very good point was raised here, and take heed. Please understand the old saying, “You are what you eat”. I cut HFCS out of my diet almost 6 months ago and can’t begin to tell you how much better I feel. My girlfreind, who is naturally (by genetics) at risk of obesity, cut out HFCS about a month ago and lost over 15 lbs with no other change in her daily regimen. That stuff is POISON and should not be allowed in our foods. Listen to the good doctor here. He’s right, and I’m living proof.

Looking at labels …
Looking at labels in the store shows you its almost impossible to buy anything, other than whole foods, that does not have fructose or some sort of artificial sweetener added.

sugar IS a drug…we don’t need to “maybe look at it AS a drug…”

SFwizardoakland September 3, 2008 at 9:41 pm

and vegetables, …
and vegetables, actualy they are way more important than fresh fruit and a primarily fresh fruit diet can cause all kinds of problems from excess sugar and acids…

Bar’B'Que potato …
Bar’B'Que potato chips, cream cheese, coke-a-cola, and candybars. A dyn-O-mite combo! It’s all good for you! Provided you take it straight from shelf and drop it in the trash!!!

They say that a lot …
They say that a lot of companies use HFCS because it is a “dirt cheap” sweetener, but what is afforable to companies always comes at some other cost. I guess something that will aid in purging a lot of this stuff from your body would be fasting and drinking lots of water; accumulation of this stuff in your body doesn’t seem good at all.

crayonsiheart September 3, 2008 at 9:41 pm

Is it true that …
Is it true that they inject that stuff into produce? I’ve heard rumors, but it sounds a bit out there…

Dried beans and …
Dried beans and rice are dirt cheap and form a very healthy meal when eaten together. Cook ‘em in a crock pot and you have to spend almost no time in prearation.

a year ago i would have consumed a lot of corn syrup. with the bread and all the other sneaky places it’s in. but now i’m pretty good at avoiding it

waddleduckie1 September 3, 2008 at 9:41 pm

Corn syrup was used …
Corn syrup was used as a thickening agent to make syrupy sauces or beverages with consistency. Its not used to make food taste good. Its also used to give candy bars textures. Most of the taste factors comes from flavorings.

waddleduckie1 September 3, 2008 at 9:41 pm

Real sugar? No …
Real sugar? No such thing as real sugar. Most sugars come from fruits and also from dairy. Honey is a form of sugar as well as maple which is sap coming from the tree itself.

Oh and I have had …
